Behind my designs
My design process begins with inspiration found in the everyday – my grandmother's garden, a friend's cozy nursery, anything that sparks a feeling. I translate these moments into hand-drawn elements, which I then digitize and refine in Adobe Illustrator to create vibrant, vector-based patterns.
Hi, I'm Franzi!
I'm a surface pattern designer based in the Netherlands, originally from Germany, and I love bringing a touch of playful joy to everyday life. My designs are created with a passion to transform ordinary products into something truly special.
My journey began with product design, but I soon discovered my true passion: turning hand-drawn illustrations into surface patterns.
